Brand-Up Testing

UHV students can take advantage of Testing Services' make-up testing. Like all of the other testing services, make-up testing is typically offered at specific times and past appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting the Testing Center.

Faculty Instructions

  1. Consummate the online Testing Request Grade at leastvii (7) business days before the examination (EncounterTesting Policies and Procedures below). Appointments will non be scheduled without Asking Course.
  2. Please include whatever special instructions on this course.
  3. Instruct students to contact the Testing Center by phone, 361-485-4500, or e-mail, testing@uhv.edu, to schedule an appointment fourth dimension to take the makeup exam.
  4. Transport the test materials to testing@uhv.edu.

Pupil Instructions

After a Asking Form has been submitted, students may schedule an appointment with Testing Services. To take a makeup exam, please follow the steps beneath:

  1. If you need to schedule a makeup exam, delight contact the Testing Center at least seven (7) business days earlier the exam (Run into Testing Policies and Procedures below). Be sure to include your pupil ID number, teacher's name and course number. Appointments will non be scheduled without a Request Form from the instructor .
  2. Inform your instructor about your engagement engagement and time. It is the student'due south responsibility to ensure that the Testing Center receives your exam materials.
  3. Arrive on time for the appointment. Students who are belatedly to the appointment may non exist allowed to test and may accept to reschedule at the instructor's discretion.
  4. Bring a valid photo Identification Carte du jour or Driver'southward License to establish positive identification prior to taking the test. Students will non be allowed to test without presenting a valid ID.
  5. Leave cell phones or any electronic advice devices in vehicle or at home. A student who uses a cell phone or is in possession of a cell phone may be dismissed from the testing center.

Testing Policies and Procedures

For Faculty:

  1. Requests for proctors for students with disabilities, makeup, or ITV exams must be made at least 7 (7) business days in advance of the examination date. Proctors are not guaranteed for requests made half-dozen or fewer days before the appointment of the test, although every try volition be made to detect a proctor.
  2. Faculty must use either the Testing Referral Class or online form in club to request a proctor or testing engagement. Other types of requests will not be treated as official requests.
  3. Flexibility on time and/or day of the test may exist required during height times (midterms and finals).
  4. The Testing Heart does not proctor regularly scheduled exams (including midterms or finals) unless they are ITV exams.

For Students:

  1. Appointments are always mandatory. Appointments must be made at least seven (7) business days before the test engagement. Space is not guaranteed after this deadline.
  2. It is the student's responsibleness to request taking a test in the Testing Center with their professor.
  3. We do not offer walk-in testing appointments.
  4. Students with a documented disability must have testing accommodations canonical through the Office of Disability Services. In one case approved, students with disabilities must encounter with the Testing Coordinator every bit shortly as possible to schedule exams (Academic Testing for Students Form) and arrange appropriate accommodations.

No Cell Phones Allowed

Cell phones, watches, and other electronic communication or photographic devices are prohibited in testing rooms.Possession or utilize of jail cell phones or other devices may event in dismissal from the testing room and the voiding of test score(due south). If taking a standardized exam (east.g., TExES/ExCET, MAT, or BTLPT), please read admission ticket and other registration materials advisedly.
